A National Language Conference organised by the city-based Institute of Odia Studies and Research would be held in Brahmapur this year.
The fourth edition of the conference would be held at the NIST Engineering College in Berhampur for four days from July 6.
In the conference, like earlier years, 600 researchers from language universities and Central classical organisations of the country and State would congregate and deliberations would be held on Odia grammar, translation, computer and Odia language, education and administration and culture,
said Odia Studies and Research president Debiprasanna Pattanayak at a Press conference here on Tuesday.
Stress would be laid to find the reasons for the rise in dissension over neglect of Odia language and its prevention and how to use it as a language of knowledge and development, said Pattanayak.
A website containing information about imminent academicians of the country and outside was unveiled
by Finance and Excise Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera on the occasion of the third preparatory meeting of the organisation.
